As a guest of the Rustler Lodge, your safety and security are our #1 priority. We are dedicated to providing a safe, healthy environment for all in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

We encourage Rustler guests to receive all COVID-19 vaccine doses recommended by their health authority. Should the community transmission levels increase, we will not hesitate to reinstate our policy requiring proof of vaccination. 

We will continue to closely monitor the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and World Health Organization's statements regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19) cases and will update our policies according to their recommendations.

All Employees at the Rustler are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

General Lodge & Public Spaces

Accommodations at Alta's Rustler Lodge
  • We are going above and beyond expected protocols to include the use of broad-spectrum disinfectant products approved by the EPA, CDC and the Utah State Health Department.
  • We have increased the frequency of public area cleaning.
  • Numerous contactless hand-sanitizing stations and disinfecting anti-viral wipe dispensers have been installed throughout the Rustler's public areas for everyone's use.

Guest Rooms

Amenities & Spa at Alta's Rustler Lodge
  • We are enhancing our cleaning and sanitation protocols for all of our guest rooms. These products and protocols meet EPA, CDC and the Utah State Health Department guidelines and are approved for use against emerging viral pathogens.
  • Daily maid and turndown service is always available, but you can always opt out based on your comfort level.
  • If service is declined by the guest, fresh towels and linens as well as cleaning products are available upon request from the front desk.
  • Keurig® machines are provided in each guest room.
  • Complimentary coffee and tea are available in the Rustler Lodge lobby as well.

Dining & Bar

Fine Dining & Restaurants at Alta's Rustler Lodge
  • We are committed to offering the same great menus and social atmosphere you have come to expect at the Rustler.
  • Between meal services, we are maintaining our cleaning and sanitation protocols.
  • We hope that guests will make dinner reservations in advance and are prompt for their reservations.
  • Room Service is available for a fee for those of you who would prefer to eat in your room.

Services & Amenities

Alta Ski Area & Snowbird Ski Resort
  • Additional cleaning and safety measures are in place that reflect recommended EPA, CDC, and Utah State Health Department guidelines for health and sanitation throughout the lodge.
  • The Rustler Pool is open daily from 1:00 – 8:00 PM and capacity will be limited according to current state and local guidelines.
  • Jacuzzis are open daily 7:00AM – 8:00PM and capacity will be limited according to current state and local guidelines.
  • Reservations for the Rustler Spa must be made in advance for service. We will be disinfecting spa rooms between each appointment.
  • The Rustler Powder House full-service ski shop encourages you to make online reservations for your ski equipment prior to your arrival.
  • Our complimentary shuttle throughout Alta and Snowbird will be sanitized after each ride.

What we are requiring from our employees:

  • Proof of full vaccination is required before working at the Rustler Lodge.
  • Upon arrival for each shift, all employees will go through a wellness screening. This will include observation for overt symptoms, taking each person's temperature with a no-touch infrared thermometer.
  • All employees will complete COVID-19 specific training in addition to the already required ServSafe Food Handler, Alcohol, and Manager programs.
  • Employees will wash hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.

What we are asking from our guests:

  • We suggest that all guests stay up to date on vaccines and wear a mask if experiencing symptoms of any illness, such as cough, fever, runny nose, shortness of breath, nausea or vomiting, etc. 
  • Should the COVID-19 community transmission levels increase, we will reinstate our vaccine policy. 
  • Everyone in your party will go through a wellness screening to check for overt symptoms and will take each person's temperature with a no-touch infrared thermometer.
  • Please comply with posted signage around lodge.
