What is the deposit and cancellation policy?
New Booking - Room Deposit is required upon booking ($1000.00 per room or $500.00 per dorm space) with the balance due 45 days prior to arrival. Cancellations received prior to September 30, 2020 will be refunded in full.
Cancellations after September 30, 2020:
Cancellations received 45 days or more prior to the planned arrival date will be refunded less a non-refundable $150.00 PER ROOM cancellation fee ($75.00 Per Dorm Space). All other cancellations (regardless of the reason) will forfeit full payment, unless we are able to refill the entire space. Guests are responsible for all nights reserved and will be charged for all changes. Due to the nature and size of our property, it is necessary to strictly adhere to our cancellation policy.
Please note that any and all refunds after September 30, 2020 (regardless of the reason) will incur a 5% credit card processing fee.
We highly encourage you to protect your investment by purchasing Travel Insurance.
What are check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is at 4:00pm and check out is at NOON. If you arriving before 4:00pm or departing later than NOON, your luggage can be stored in our luggage room. If you want to ski past the NOON check-out time, you are more than welcome to shower and change in our facilities.
How do I get to and from the airport? Will I need a car?
We are located only 45-minutes from the Salt Lake City International Airport. For transportation to the Rustler, we use Alta Shuttle. They can get you to and from the airport with the cost of $40.00 per person per each way on a shared shuttle. All we need from you is your flight information and landing time and we will arrange the rest.
A car is not needed for your ski vacation. However, if you do rent or bring a car, Highway 210 requires a 4-wheel drive vehicle with snow tires, to get up and down the canyon. The Rustler Lodge will provide roadside complimentary parking.
How do I get to Snowbird or around town?
We offer complimentary shuttles that run throughout the day within the Town of Alta and Snowbird. We have set shuttle times during ski hours that we try to abide for a consistent guest experience.
What time do the Alta and Snowbird lifts open?
Alta lifts open at 9:15am and most close at 4:30pm. Snowbird opens at 9:00am and lift operations close between 3:30pm-5:00pm.
Where can I purchase lift tickets and ski lessons for Alta?
Lift tickets can be purchased directly through Alta Ski Resort.
The Rustler Lodge Front Desk also has a lift ticket kiosk where we can activate a convenience card that charges directly to your credit card according to when you ski.

Where can I rent ski gear?
The Rustler Ski Shop is located inside our lodge. You are more than welcome to call in advance and speak directly with them at 801-742-2705.
All guests are provided with a locker for ski gear during their stay and all of our rooms include boot dryers.
Can I ship my skis before arrival?
You can absolutely ship your equipment prior to your arrival. We will store and have them ready for you upon check-in. To help make it hassle-free, we now work with a company called Ship Skis . They will oversee the entire transit process and keep you updated as to your delivery at the Rustler Lodge. Learn more.

Will I have access to the internet at the Rustler Lodge?
Yes, we do have complimentary internet for all Rustler guests. We also have a Business Center if you need access to a computer and printer during your stay.
Is babysitting available at the Lodge?
Rustler employees are often available to babysit during their off-work hours. The Front Desk can provide a list with employee names and contact information so you can make arrangements with them directly. Contacting them in advance is recommended.
Alta Ski Area offers a child care program, the Alta Children's Center. This is a full-service childcare facility that caters to children from 6 weeks to 9 years old. Please contact them direct 801-742-3032 or visit online www.altachildrenscenter.com for more information.
Do you have laundry facilities?
Self-serve quarter operated washer and dryer machines are available on the 6th floor. Detergent is also available for guests to purchase.
Are pets allowed at the Rustler?
Pets are not allowed in Alta or anywhere in Little Cottonwood Canyon, as the area is a protected watershed. People bringing unlicensed animals into Alta are subject to citation and large fines, and the Alta Marshal enforces this strictly. Please visit the town's website for more information:
The Rustler makes every reasonable accommodation for people with disabilities, and we do accommodate service dogs that perform a task for a person with a disability.
What information do I need to know about your Dining Room? Arrival after dinner?
Your daily rate includes full breakfast and gourmet dinner. We offer lunch but it is not included in your room rate.
Breakfast Hours: 7:15am – 9:45am
Lunch Hours: NOON – 2:00pm
Dinner Hours: 6:00pm – 9:00pm
*We do recommend making dinner reservations prior to your stay. Dress code for dinner service is mountain casual. No hats or robe are allowed. *
If you would like to join a group table during dinner service, we do offer our Wasatch Table at 6:00pm nightly. Please notify the dining room if you would like to attend. Alcoholic beverages and specialty coffee drinks are available at an additional cost during meal service.
If you will be arriving after dinner, please inform us prior to your arrival. We are happy to provide sandwiches or salads for your late arrival or issue you a meal coupon that can be used towards lunch during your stay or dinner on your departing night.
